Mr. Javed is a leading bariatric surgeon with extensive experience in both primary and complex revisional procedures. He qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons, London in 1992 and has worked alongside Professor David Kerrigan since 2005.
Mr Javed is the Lead Bariatric Surgeon at Phoenix’s Liverpool centre and sees private patients at The Pines and The Alexandra Hospital, making him the only Phoenix consultant operating at both Manchester sites. He specialises in gastric sleeve, bypass, band, and re-do surgeries, and is known for his excellent outcomes and patient-focused care.
Miss Darrien is a highly skilled Consultant Surgeon with a background in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. She trained in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and completed prestigious fellowships at UCLH and NHS Northumbria.
Since 2017, she has worked exclusively with Phoenix Health, offering private bariatric surgery at The Pines Manchester and other locations across the UK. Her specialties include gastric balloon, sleeve gastrectomy, anti-reflux surgery, and endo-bariatric procedures such as Overstitch. She is also passionate about mentoring and medical education.
